ecSI 2.0 Inventory: Qualifying Workshop

A Workshop for Professionals by Jennifer Harris, RDN, LD, CEDS-C

Nutritionists, health, and mental health professionals have long depended on the Satter Division of Responsibility in Feeding (sDOR) and Eating Competence models as an effective and practical way to help parents be successful with feeding and raising children who eat well. Experience and research have shown that Eating Competence correlates with successfully feeding children according to Satter’s Division of Responsibility in Feeding, while also supporting adults’ eating, wellbeing and health outcomes.

You can assess a client’s eating competence using the 16-question inventory, ecSI2.0TM .  In addition to evaluating a client’s level of eating competence, you can sub-score the questionnaire to determine how to focus eating competence with your clients.

During the workshop, you will become familiar with the tool, practice scoring it, and learn how to focus your time and energy to help clients improve their eating; specifically around the areas of eating competence. Case studies are included to illustrate the process.
