Reclaiming Joy in Feeding – Evidence Supporting the Trust Paradigm

$60.00

Two-part webinar for professionals April 15 and April 22, 2026, 12 pm CT – 1 pm CT

Presented by Ellyn Satter, MS, MSSW Dietitian and Family Therapist

The Satter Division of Responsibility in Feeding (sDOR) is grounded on trust—trust in parents to do their jobs with feeding the best they can; trust in children to eat what and as much as they need and grow in the way nature intended for them.

In order to accurately follow sDOR, with nothing added on or taken away, the practitioner must fully trust children’s capabilities with eating as well as resist control-based interference with that trust.

This webinar in two one-hour sessions reviews evidence demonstrating children’s capabilities and provides examples. It concludes by summarizing critical thinking in distinguishing between the trust and control paradigms in thinking and practice.

Part 1 – April 15: Definition of fdSatter and sDOR; children know what to eat.

Part 2 – April 22: Children know how much to eat and how to grow; distinguish between paradigms
