Explore becoming an ESI Affiliate!

Assess and increase your mastery of the ecSatter and fdSatter in  year-long group mentorship with ESI faculty members. To see if this is a good fit for you, read the Ellyn Satter Institute Affiliate/Associate program description. In brief, the ESI Affiliate program offers professional development and certification for those working with eating and feeding based on the Eating Competence and Feeding Dynamics models. This program offers you support and mentorship in ecSatter and fdSatter.

In response to your email, we will include you in the application invitation mailing for the next Affiliate year.  

For the 2017-2018 Affiliate year:

  • November 2016: You will receive your application invitation.
  • March 1, 2017: Completed applications are due
  • May 15, 2017: Acceptances are announced for the 2016 ESI Affiliates.
  • September 1, 2017: The mentoring year begins.

Levels


ESI Affiliates

Professionals currently working in the model who want to pursue credentialing as ESI Associate in fdSatter and/or ecSatter.

Requirements

  • Successful applicants will demonstrate the following
    • Commitment to fdSatter and ecSatter
    • Reading and study in of the two models: fdSatter or ecSatter

Benefits

    • Mentorship and guidance from ESI Faculty Members as well as other ESI Affiliates and ESI Associates
    • Access to ESI's regular journal club


ESI Associate

Professionals who have completed the ESI Affiliate program, have thereby demonstrated a thorough understanding of both models, and has the ESI endorsement in acting as a resource to others in interpreting and applying the models. . 

Requirements

  • Successful applicants will demonstrate the following
    • Commitment to fdSatter and ecSatter
    • Thorough and demonstrated knowledge of both fdSatter or ecSatter through the ESI Affiliate program
    • Willingness to contribute to the work of ESI

ESI Faculty

By invitation only. Professionals who have demonstrated leadership and creative thinking in expanding the scope and influence of the ecSatter and fdSatter.
